Our Caravan Details – Pitch B121 Shell Bay Campsite
Main Bedroom - contains a King Size bed 5 foot wide and 2 small wardrobe,s the bed comes supplied with a duvet and 4 pillows.
In the right hand wardrobe as you enter the room you will find the electricity contact breaker box, there is also a small portable BBQ and a small carpet sweeper. To the left hand side of the bed is a radio alarm. There is a very small vanity table and mirror on the left hand side of the room. The window is the emergency exit.
Second Bedroom - contains 2 x 2.5 foot wide beds, these come with duvets and pillows. On the right hand side is a small wardrobe, inside it you will find a brush and pan for the linoleum area in the kitchen.
Duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases are provided
Pull-out Bed in the Living Room - lift the seat on the left hand side then the bed simply unfolds. Duvet and pillows for this bed is in the drawer under the bed in the main bedroom the bed size is 4’ 6”ft.
Sheets and pillowcases are provided and are stored vacume packed in the drawer under the main bed
Bathroom - contains a full size toilet and shower. The shower controls can set the flow and the temperature. Hot water is provided by a gas boiler In the cupboard beside the sink this is pre set to its highest setting(Please do not adjust). It takes about 30 seconds of flow from the hot tap for the water to reach hot (about 60 Celsius).
Towels are not provided.
Stove - to light the gas on the stove / grill / oven press the electrical igniter switch, then turn on the gas knob.
Gas Fire - to light push in the switch and turn anticlockwise till the pilot light ignites, hold it in a few seconds then continue to turn anticlockwise.
Gas is provided by 2 x 112 lb Calor Bottles at the rear of the caravan, in the event of the gas running out simply switch over the bottles, you do this by going to the bottle and between the two bottles you will find the white switch if it shows red then the bottle needs changing. If a bottle is empty select the switch to the other bottle. A bottles lasts about a 3 months so it should be adequate for your needs – if you let us know we will have it replaced for you.
Sink - has hot and cold water. The hot water takes about 30 seconds to come through. The cold water is fine to drink
Rubbish - can be disposed of into the rubbish container compound 30 yards in front of the caravan please leave the bin in the caravan empty and clean when you leave.
TV / Digi Box - there are 2 hand controllers, both look similar, Using the one marked TV (longer) switch on the TV, set the TV on channel one. Now use the hand controller marked Digi Box press on button to start the Digi Box then button 2nd left top row this brings up the programs use the + / - buttons to alter volume or programmes. The Digi Box gives you about 30 TV channels and about the same radio stations. Stations can be affected by atmospheric conditions but for the most part it is usually pretty good
DVD player - has its own remote hand controller, if set to play it will override the TV programme. The DVD will play music and MP3 files. In the cabinet above you will find a number of DVD’s (tends to be for grown ups)
Radio - over the sink is a radio alarm same as in the main bedroom
Crockery - is in the right hand cupboards under the sink
Glasses - over the sink
Other items - you will find a toaster and a grill under the sink
Pots and Pans - under the sink
Instructions - for all devices are on the shelf under the games / books in a blue folder.
Electricity - the site only supplies 10 amps / 2000 watts you have balance your electrical appliances (we blew the circuit breaker when we put on an electric fire and the kettle at the same time)
I you are unlucky enough to do this, go to the bar and speak to the bar staff and they will send round the night watchman who will open the power box behind the caravan and reset the circuit breaker. He is on duty till 1 a.m in the morning. In general as long as you don’t have more than one item that draws a lot of current everything will be fine.
Checks - on both Gas and Electrics systems have been carried in March.
Games - under the TV you will find some board games
Front Door - is light and gets caught in any wind so please open / close with care
Gas BBQ in the outsise lock up if you use it please clean after use the key for the lock up hangs inside the gas boiler cupboard by the sink.(lock up also contains some fold up chairs )
Dogs – we have our own dog up in the caravan often and we welcome a well behaved animal. Pets are not allowed on the beds / seats please
The site allows dogs only on leads and you are expected to clean up any solids deposited as children love the open spaces. There are a lot a super walks for both dogs and the adventurous.
Pub - is open every night with live music at the weekends, the restaurant is open 9.30 – 9.00 each day, is good value and serves a variety of snacks and meals. There is a price list in the blue folder.
Shop – is open daily and sells a variety of goods, food, newspapers, sweets etc

Conditions - Bookings are subject to availability and on receipt of a £50 / week booking fee this will be retained until the hire is completed and if there is no damage then will be returned to you within 7 days of the end of your hire.
If the caravan booking is canceled 14 days before the start of the holiday the deposit is refundable only if the caravan is re-booked.
No more than the stipulated numbers are allowed in the caravan.( max 6 People)
The caravan is not available to groups of young people.
Hirers are expected to make good any damage caused during their stay.
Smoking you are asked not to smoke in the caravan please
Entrance to Caravan, a hire will be from 4 pm on Saturday to 10 am the following Saturday. This to allow us access to ensure the caravan is in perfect condition for the next hire.
Keys - we will arrange to get a key to you
Directions - From the South go through Leven, go through Lundin Links at Kirkton of Largo turn right signposted A917 Eile / Earlsferry about 2 miles down this road you will see the caravan site on the right hand side
From the North from St Andrews take the A915 at Kirkton of Largo turn right signposted A917 Earlsferry about 2 miles down this road you will see the caravan site on the right hand side
From the East go through Anstruther head along the coast road through Pittenweem A917 through Eile / Earlsferry past the golf course the campsite is on the left hand side about a mile down the road
